FC Barcelona have officially confirmed that teenage forward Lamine Yamal has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2031.
The 17-year-old, who made his debut on 29 April 2023 at just 15 years old, has quickly become a key player in the first team.
Yamal, a product of La Masia, joined Barcelona’s academy at the age of seven and has since risen through the ranks. In just over two years, he has made 106 appearances for the senior side, scoring 25 goals and providing 34 assists.
He holds several records, including being the youngest goalscorer in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. He also became the youngest player in Barcelona’s history to reach 100 first-team appearances.
Last season, Yamal played a central role in helping the team win the domestic treble—La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup. His performances were particularly notable in the four Clásico victories over Real Madrid.
On the individual front, he has earned recognition with awards such as the Golden Boy, the Kopa Trophy, and honors from the Laureus Awards.
