President Bola Tinubu has postponed the presentation of the N47.9 trillion 2025 budget to the National Assembly from Tuesday, December 17, to Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
The shift was confirmed by a senior official within the National Assembly, who indicated that an official announcement will be made soon.
Previously, Senate President Godswill Akpabio had informed lawmakers during plenary that the budget presentation was scheduled for Tuesday at the House of Representatives Chamber. He had also instructed senators to convene in the Red Chamber at 10:30 am before proceeding to the venue for the session.
Last month, the president submitted the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2025–2027 to the National Assembly, laying the groundwork for the upcoming budget presentation.
Details of the revised schedule are expected to be officially communicated to lawmakers.
