Billionaire rapper Jay-Z has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a newly amended lawsuit that also implicates Sean “Diddy” Combs. The federal suit, filed in New York, alleges that the assault occurred during an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.
The plaintiff claims she was given a drink that left her feeling lightheaded and incapacitated. According to the lawsuit, Jay-Z and Diddy entered her room, with Diddy reportedly declaring, “You are ready to party!” before they both allegedly assaulted her. The filing also alleges that others at the party witnessed the events but did nothing to stop them.

Further accusations have been leveled against Jay-Z, claiming he harassed the plaintiff’s legal team in an attempt to deter the lawsuit. The plaintiff alleges that the rapper responded to a mediation request with intimidation tactics, including filing a separate lawsuit and orchestrating a campaign of threats against her attorneys and their associates. Despite these alleged actions, the plaintiff chose to proceed with the amended filing, emphasizing the need for accountability.
In response to the allegations, Jay-Z issued a strongly worded denial through his Roc Nation platform. Calling the claims “heinous,” he dismissed the lawsuit as an attempt to extort him and questioned the credibility of the accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee. Jay-Z also urged the accuser to file criminal charges if the allegations were legitimate, adding that he would vigorously fight the claims in court.
The rapper expressed frustration over the emotional toll the accusations have taken on his family, stating that he had to explain the situation to his children, one of whom is at an age where peers might question them about the claims. He maintained his innocence, vowing not to give in to what he described as an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
The lawsuit originally targeted Diddy, who is already facing numerous legal battles over allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. The addition of Jay-Z to the case has intensified public interest, with both men vehemently denying any wrongdoing as the case progresses.
The situation underscores ongoing concerns about accountability in the entertainment industry, with calls growing louder for alleged perpetrators to face justice.
