A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has voiced his opposition to calls urging Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, to run for the governorship of Lagos State in 2027.
In a Facebook post, Igbokwe condemned the push for Seyi to contest, labeling it as a “needless distraction” aimed at undermining the president.
He emphasized that governing a state like Lagos requires significant experience and leadership, adding that it is not a task suited for “boys.”
“Who are these faceless people pushing Seyi Tinubu for Lagos Governor? This is a needless distraction. To pull PBAT down is their target. Please allow PBAT to do his very engaging and tasking job. Ruling Lagos is not the job of boys,” Igbokwe stated.
