Over the weekend in Benin City, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki affirmed his contentment with his tenure, asserting that he has exceeded all promises made during his election campaign.
Addressing journalists, Governor Obaseki described himself as a realist, highlighting comprehensive impacts across various sectors since assuming office.
“I have no regrets as Edo State Governor in these past years. In fact, I have surpassed every commitment outlined in my manifesto,” Obaseki stated confidently.
He emphasized laying a robust foundation for the state’s progress and development, expressing confidence that his successor would continue to build upon these achievements.
“In governance, one cannot accomplish everything alone. I have initiated a solid groundwork, and I am optimistic that the next administration will uphold the values of service to the people,” he remarked.
Governor Obaseki concluded by noting that democracy is an ongoing process rather than a final destination, expressing optimism for continued improvement and development in the state.
