FG Declares Free Train Rides Nationwide from Dec 20 to January 5

The initiative, which was approved at the latest Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, will run from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this during a briefing on the outcomes of the meeting. He explained that the free service is available on all routes currently operational under the nation’s train services.

Idris emphasized that the gesture is part of the government’s commitment to ease transportation burdens during the festive season and ensure Nigerians enjoy seamless travel experiences.
