The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Abuja division has granted an interim order restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from going on strike from Wednesday over the removal of petrol subsidy as planned, until the determination of the motion on notice.
Delivering the ruling on Monday, Justice OY Anuwe, the presiding judge, said the unions should halt the planned strike pending the hearing and determination of the ex parte motion filed by the federal government and adjourned further hearing till 19 June.
