Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, failed to personally appear before the House of Representatives on Monday to address allegations of bribing officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Bobrisky’s lawyer, Avwerosuoghene Omuvwie, informed lawmakers that his client was unable to attend due to health concerns. However, the House of Reps requested medical documentation to verify the claim.
The allegations, brought forward by social media activist Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, accuse Bobrisky of bribing EFCC officials to avoid money laundering charges and securing favorable treatment from NCoS to avoid serving time in a prison cell.
Meanwhile, VeryDarkMan revealed he obtained a controversial recording of Bobrisky from an individual the crossdresser allegedly owed ₦4 million, which was lent during his EFCC detention.
