The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has forecasted a significant transformation of Nigeria within the next seven years, urging Nigerians to unite in supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration despite current challenges.
Speaking at the launch of the Kugbo Bus Terminal in Abuja, Akpabio emphasized the potential for monumental change under Tinubu’s leadership, expressing confidence that the administration’s efforts will reshape both the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the entire nation.
“I have no doubt that in seven years from now, many people will not recognize the FCT or Nigeria itself,” Akpabio remarked, highlighting the transformative vision of Tinubu’s government.
Akpabio praised the inauguration of the Abuja project as a testament to Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of FCT residents and visitors alike. He commended Tinubu’s choice of Nyesom Wike as Minister of the FCT, emphasizing the importance of appointing competent individuals to drive development initiatives.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike echoed Akpabio’s sentiments, expressing gratitude for the support received from Tinubu and the National Assembly. He assured the public that ongoing development projects in the FCT would be completed promptly, addressing infrastructure challenges and improving security.
Wike emphasized the terminal’s role in enhancing transportation safety and reducing incidents of kidnapping, underscoring its potential to mitigate insecurity in the region.
The event underscored ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and security in the FCT under Tinubu’s administration, despite existing socio-economic challenges.
