In the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, armed gunmen has abducted Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki, a prominent native doctor. The incident occurred on Sunday night when the assailants raided his hotel in the Oba community. Tragically, Tiwaraki’s two bodyguards were killed in the process before he was taken away to an undisclosed location.
The ease with which the operation was carried out has raised concerns in the community regarding the native doctor’s reputation and status. Tiwaraki had been well-known for boasting about his immense power and wealth. His mansion in the community attracted individuals seeking services such as anti-bullet charms and money rituals.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, stated that it took place around 11:30 p.m. The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has ordered the operatives to pursue the abductors and ensure the safe release of the native doctor.
