OwelekeTV (Entertainment) Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has assured his fans that he is turning a new leaf following his release on bail.
The controversial artist, who was granted bail of N2 million, made the declaration in a social media video, emphasizing his commitment to financial stability and avoiding trouble.
“My fans, thank God for everything. If you have God, you have everything. I need money. I am not looking for trouble anymore. I’m now focused on making money. I have N2 million bail debt. I need more money. I am looking for money,”
he said.
Background Incident
Portable’s legal troubles stem from allegations of assault on government officials, which led to his arrest and subsequent arraignment at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The court also arraigned ten co-defendants, identified as Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Fatimo Muhammed (26), on related offenses.
Magistrate O. L. Oke granted Portable bail under the condition that he provides a surety and scheduled the case for trial on March 5.
