‘Years in the making!’ Davido Launches Electric Bike Line in Africa

Music superstar Davido has announced the launch of his line of electric bikes in Africa.

The venture, a partnership with Spiro, Africa’s leading electric vehicle player, aims to empower motorcycle riders and promote sustainable transportation across the continent.

Davido shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that the idea had been years in the making.

He wrote:

Today, I’m transforming that vision into something bigger: generational wealth and ownership. With my own line of electric bikes, in partnership with Spiro, we’re not just building a product – we’re building a movement”.

Davido acknowledged the vital role motorcycle riders, also known as Okada riders in Nigeria, have played in his career and sees this partnership as a way to give back.

“These same Okada drivers, who have supported me throughout my career, are now at the centre of this vision. They moved my music, my name, and my story across every corner of Nigeria and Africa. Now it’s time to give back.

he stressed.
