A tragic incident unfolded at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee, Florida, where a pizza delivery worker, Brianna Alvelo, 22, allegedly stabbed a pregnant customer 14 times following a dispute over a $2 tip.
According to police reports, Alvelo delivered an order totaling $33 to the victim, who handed over $50 but tipped only $2 because Alvelo lacked change. Upset over the perceived slight, Alvelo returned to the motel with an accomplice, leading to the violent altercation.
The victim, who was celebrating a birthday with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter, reportedly shielded her daughter during the attack. Authorities stated she sustained multiple stab wounds to her back while protecting the child.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide medical attention, and the victim was rushed to the hospital. Her current condition has not been disclosed.
Alvelo has been taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, assault, and kidnapping. Investigations are ongoing, and law enforcement officials are piecing together the events leading up to the attack.
