A woman has expressed her disappointment after her niece’s school gave out bread, akara, and a toothbrush as part of the end-of-year gift package, despite collecting a participation fee of N15,000 from parents.
Sharing her frustration, the woman stated that for the amount paid, the school could have at least served a meal like rice to the children. She described the situation as unfair and bordering on extortion, given the expectations tied to the fee.
She said,
“If they talk now, dey go talk say na Tinubu. Okay, with the fifteen thousand naira wey we pay, at least…dey no even fit cook concoction rice.”
She humorously added that if anyone were to analyze the situation, one might be tempted to blame President Bola Tinubu’s administration for the prevailing economic conditions, which may have influenced the school’s decision.
