Atsi Kefas, the 44-year-old younger sister of Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has died from gunshot wounds following an attack in Kente village, Wukari Local Government Area.
She died at a private hospital in Abuja after being transferred from the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Wukari. The tragic incident has sparked confusion, with conflicting accounts surrounding the circumstances of her death.
Although, some sources alleged that it was caused by an accidental trigger release by her security operative. While others attributed the incident to a bandit attack, The Taraba State Police Command, however, has identified armed robbery as the cause.

State Police spokesperson, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the ongoing investigation but did not provide further details. Meanwhile, the state government has yet to release an official statement, adding to public speculation and unease.
