Controversial blogger, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), refused to give any statement during his appearance at the House of Representatives over the ₦15 million bribery allegations involving cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, a.k.a. Bobrisky, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
VDM’s decision not to speak stemmed from the absence of both Bobrisky and the EFCC Chairman at the hearing, which was held at the National Assembly complex. The cross-dresser was represented by his lawyer, while the EFCC boss was also notably absent.
“If I say anything, let me die,” VDM stated, expressing his refusal to proceed without the presence of the other involved parties.
This hearing follows claims made by VDM in a viral social media post, where he alleged that Bobrisky paid ₦15 million to EFCC officials to drop a money laundering case earlier this year. The post generated significant public attention, leading lawmakers to summon all parties involved. However, only VDM attended the session.
