Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has announced that the #EndBadGovernance protest in Kano State has turned violent.
Taking to his account on the X platform, Onanuga reported that properties were being destroyed and protesters had begun looting items, including mattresses and bags of rice.
Onanuga shared a video showing an attack on a supermarket on Hadejia Road in Kano, captioned: “The place attacked is a supermarket on Hadejia Road in Kano, all in the name of protest.”
In another video, he noted: “An office attacked in Kano. It is no longer a peaceful protest in the city.”
Additionally, Onanuga posted pictures of protesters looting various items, including furniture and rice bags.
In another video, he highlighted the vandalization of the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) building in Kano, stating: “Protesters go on rampage in Kano. Here is the gate house of the NCC set ablaze.”
