Simon Ekpa, a well-known advocate and separatist for the Biafra cause, has refuted a report circulating about a supposed letter from Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The Finland-based lawyer, who proclaims himself as the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government, made it clear that the letter is not genuine.
According to him, the letter was fabricated by troublemakers who are opposed to Biafra’s liberation.
The alleged letter claimed that Kanu directed Ekpa to cease criticizing southeast governors. However, Ekpa dismissed this as untrue and emphasized that the misrepresentation of Kanu is both a joke and an offensive act.
He called on all Biafrans to pay no attention to the fake letter, which he believes is being propagated by the Department of State Services (DSS). Instead, he reiterated his plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s release as he believes it will contribute to lasting peace in the southeast region.
“Our attention has been drawn to the fake letter from the pit of hell being paraded by Nigerian media claiming that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wrote a letter. It is not only a joke, but an insult taken too far that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra is being misrepresented in this way. As the Prime Minister of Biafra under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, I call on all Biafrans to disregard the fake letter coming from DSS.”
