A TikTok user named Ego Okoye, who was arrested for making false and damaging statements about actress Eniola Badmus, has revealed the reason behind her actions. According to Okoye, she defamed the actress because her friend, Fortune Ibe, promised to pay her N200,000 for doing so. In a video where she was seen apologizing for her actions, Okoye explained that she was desperate for money to pay her house rent, which led her to act in such a manner.
Despite pleas for an out-of-court settlement, Eniola Badmus refused and decided to pursue legal action against Okoye for tarnishing her hard-earned reputation. When asked if she had any personal issues with Badmus, Okoye denied any wrongdoing, claiming that she acted solely for the money offered by her friend.
The situation has escalated, and Badmus insisted on taking the matter to court, expressing her anger towards the false accusations made by Okoye.
